Terms and Conditions for Online Bidding

These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern all online bidding at auction sales conducted by AlBahie Auction House ("AB") through this website. AB may at its sole discretion amend or revise these Terms without prior notification. The changes shall be effective immediately upon posting them on AB's website. By accessing and using the website you ("Client" or "User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms, the Conditions of Sale published in AB's catalogue and/or on AB's website and or in the notice(s) displayed at AB's premises or announcement(s) made before or during the Auction sale. (The "Bid Conditions")

By registering to participate in AB's auction sale via Online Bidding you agree to the applicable Bid Conditions.

AB offers Online Bidding as a convenience to our clients. AB reserves the right to suspend or terminate any aspect or feature of the Online Bidding service at any time with or without notice for any reason whatsoever.

BID REGISTRATION

You will not be eligible to bid online unless you register at least 24 hours prior to the start of any auction sale.

You should not disclose your account registration details to anybody.
You are liable for any bid submitted via your online bidding account.
AB has absolute right to refuse a registration to bid online, close an online bidding account, revoke a permission to bid online for any whatsoever reason prior to, during or after the sale.

ONLINE BIDDING PROCESS

It is the bidder's responsibility to inspect, investigate the Lot prior to bidding, to satisfy itself as to both the conditions of the Lot, its attribution and the accuracy of its description.
The bid submitted shall be final and binding by clicking the "bid button".
By bidding online, you agree that bids submitted in this way are final and that you will not under any circumstances be able to amend or retract your bid.
Bids made from the live auction room, telephone, absentee bidders and other online bidders will be displayed on the online bidder's computer screen.
A currency conversion tool may be provided at the online bidding screen where final purchase price is displayed in certain currencies. The currency tool is provided as a guide only. AB is not responsible for any error or discrepancy which may occur in the operation of the currency convertor or as a consequence of reliance upon the currency conversion tool.
You irrevocably agree to pay the full purchase price, including buyer's premium and other applicable charges for any Lot that is the subject of a successful bid submitted from your online bidding account.
Payment for any Lot that is the subject of a successful bid must be made in the currency of the sale and not in any other currency, unless otherwise agreed with AB.
Please check the results that are published by AB online after the sale.
In the event of any discrepancy between the online purchase information and the invoice sent to you by AB, the invoice shall prevail.

LIMITATIONS OF AB's LIABILITY

Bidding online is made at your own risk.
Use of Online Bidding is dependent upon the availability of the internet, the internet connection.

We accept no liability for any failure or delay in executing bids or any errors contained in bids placed via the Online Bidding service.
We accept no liability for any failures, delays or errors caused by interruptions in the availability of the Online Bidding service or our website or any errors or defects in their content or functionality, any software and/or hardware defects and/or any internet connection problems and we do not represent or warrant that the Online Bidding service will be error-free, free of viruses or other harmful components or that any defects will be corrected.


GOVERNING LAW

The Terms and Conditions for Online Bidding shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws that govern the Conditions of Sale.

Shipping Terms

It is the buyer's responsibility to pick up purchases or make all shipping arrangements. After payment has been made in full,
AlBahie can arrange property packing and shipping at the buyer's request and expense. For more information please contact us
